Khwaja Shahbaz Mosque Complex

A spectacular ancient architecture from Ramna Police station in the east near the mazar of the three leaders of the Sohrai Wadi Gardens near Dhaka Gate. This is a small mosque. A mosque complex with a shrine and an arcade near it. The mosque is a vertex built on a high ground and has 3 domes. The mosque has 3 entrances on the eastern wall and there are 1 entrance on the north and south walls. On the west wall there are 3 ornamental mihrabs. Mosque building has 4 detention mines in 4 corners. Under the subedar Shaista Khan, a wealthy person named Khan Shahbaz built the mosque in 1679. The mausoleum built in a one-domed square with a mound about 50 feet east of the mosque. This is the tomb of Haji Khwaja Shahbaz. In the south of the tomb, there is a doochala verandah, this type of verandah is not generally seen in Bengal. The main tomb is approximately 26 square feet. The tomb has 4 towers in 4 corners. There are 3 entrances to the South for access to the mausoleum. A mihrab is seen on the north wall. A damaged wall and arcade can be seen on the east side of the mosque and the shrine, it is known as "Shah-Ki-Deuri". ...... read full story

Musa Khan Mosque

This mosque built in the Mughal period is near the Sadar road near Dhaka University's hostel Shahidullah Hall, south of Dhaka Gate and near the Curzon Hall. The mosque has been built on a high platform. Small room below the bottom of the mosque. This mosque on the platform has three entrance paths on the eastern wall. There are 1 entrance entrance to the north and south walls. There are three mihrabs on the western wall inside the mosque. There are 4 monuments in the mosque building. Two minarets have been constructed on two sides of these monuments. There is a grave of Musa Khan in the northeast of the mosque. Musa Khan was the son of Isha Khan, the best of Baro Bhuiyan in Bengal. Musa Khan Mosque was built by Munawar Khan. Later linguist Dr. Mohammed Shahidulah was buried near the tomb of Musa Khan. ...... read full story

Suhrawardy Udyan

This Suhrawardy Udyan is a vast garden situated in the heart of capital Dhaka. It has an important importance in terms of history and tradition. The former name of the park was Ramna Racecourse Maidan. Horse racing competition was here before independence. One side of the park is the Ramna garden and on the other side Dhaka University campus. The fight for giving Bangla language status to the state language was originally started from this park. On 21 March 1948, the first Governor General of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah declared on this ground "Urdu and only Urdu will be the state language of Pakistan". From then on, language movement was sown. On 7 March 1971 Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the hero of Bengal's independence, was proclaiming "Our struggle, this time, is a struggle for our freedom. Our struggle, this time, is a struggle for our independence. Joy Bangla!". It was a de facto declaration of Bangladesh's independence. Dharmarajik Buddhist Vihara

It is the country's oldest and largest Buddhist monastery. In 1960, this monastery was constructed by Buddhist scholar Bishwadananda Mahather in Basabo of Sabujbagh Police Station in Dhaka. In this religious Buddhist monastery, there is a branch of Gautam Buddha who meditated under the Bodhi tree of Buddhaghaya in India. There are two attractive Buddhist statues in Bihar. One of them is made of white stone and the other made from black stone obtained from Thailand. There is also a black stone Buddha statue of Pala period and Buddha statues of different countries.Bihar has a library and a museum. In 1982, the government of Bangladesh preserved the body's ash of Ashish Dipankar, self-contained pictures and manuscripts of China from here. The country's highest Buddhist statue, built here in 2010, is sponsored by Maha Vajiralankaran, the prince of Thailand. The height of the statue is 38 feet, which is made of octaves. Rai-Shashi residence / zamindarbari

You can see an ancient landlord house named Roy Shashi Nibash (residence) in a place called Arpara in Savar upazila of Dhaka. It is known that this zamindar house was built in 1307 BS. Though the zamindar's house does not have the glosses of the past, its various structures still carry the signature of the zodiac sign of the zamindar house. Even today, the Imperial Palace, a statue of women built on a Roman architectural style, the lofty throne, the Randh-Govinda temple built by the zamindars, the palace attracts tourists.
