Khuniya Dighi

This Dighi is located in Bhandara village near Ranisankail upazila sadar of Thakurgaon district. During the liberation war of Bangladesh, the Pakistani occupation forces killed the freedom fighters of this country and left them in the pond. It is known that more than two thousand freedom fighters and general Bangali people were killed and left in the pond. During the liberation war of Bangladesh, the blue waters of this tank were turn into red color due to the carnage of Pakistani occupation forces. This is a silent witness to the cruelest black chapter of the history of Bangladesh's independence.
