The Hajiganj fort located in Sadar upazila of Narayanganj district is built in five corners. The fort is 250 feet in length and 200 feet in width. The corners of the fort are semi-circular. The towers were constructed to keep the cannons on these angles. This Hajiganj area of Narayanganj was a very important place during the Mughal era. During the Mughal period, Narayanganj and Dhaka were occasionally attacked due to the attack of Mugs, Arakni and Firangis. For protecting the inhabitants of this region from the invasion of these bandits, the Mughals constructed several forts. Among the forts, the Hajiganj fort was one of the important and notable fortresses. This Hajiganj fort was a water fort.
