Tomb of Khan Jahan Ali (ra) Complex

Hazrat Khan Jahan Ali (R)'s grave complex is situated on the north side of Thakur Dighi in Bagerhat Sadar Upazila. Inside the complex there is the tomb of Hazrat Khan Jahan and the adjacent mosque of Khan Jahan. Khan Jahan's mosque is also known as Darga Mosque. The tomb of Khan Jahan is decorated with sapling and geometric design. The building of the mazar is built in a square and it has one dome.The length of the arm is about 46 feet in the building. The main masonry is made of basalt stone. There are several scripts in the Arabic and Persian languages on the Shrine Stones. There are 1 entrance to the east, west and south sides of the shrine. Khan Jahan died on 23 October 1459 AD. He was buried here on the day after his death.It is believed that Khan Jahan himself constructed this tomb. There are 4 four rounded towers at 4 corners in the tomb. The mosque, known as the Darga Mosque, built beside the tomb, is a one dome mosque. The dome is about 36 feet high. The west wall has 1 mihrab. There are 3 entrances to the east of the mosque and 1 entrance to the north and south sides. ...... read full story

The Zindapir Mosque is located approximately 500 yards away from the tomb of Khan Jahan.The mosque is currently broken. Yet some parts of it still testify to its past history.It was a one-domed mosque. During the construction, there were 4 octagonal towers in its 4 corners. There were 3 beautiful mihrabs decorated with terracotta plaques on the west wall. Various cultivars, flowers, and geometric decorations were in the main mihrabati. The tomb of Jindapi is located near the mosque. The tomb built in a square.The tomb has 4 octagonal towers in its 4 corners. It is a mosque built in 17th century at Bibichini, 10 kilometers away from Betagi upazila of Barguna district. The ancient mosque is of 1 dome. In 1659, on the request of Muhammad Shah Shuja, the famous saint Hazrat Shah Naitullah was built this mosque. This saint has its tomb beside the mosque. There are two more graves beside him, those are the two daughters of satiam Naitullah Chiniabi and Ichabibi. The mosque is built in a square, with a length of about 33 feet in each side.The walls around it are very wide. They are about 6 feet wide. There are 3 entrances to the north-south and east to the mosque.The antiquity of this mosque, built on an area of about 30 feet high, impressed the visitors.
