This Jami Mosque will be seen in Bahaltali village of Piri Union under Kotalipara upazila of Gopalganj district. It is believed to be the oldest archaeological site of this district. Mosque built in Mughal architectural style There are nine domes in the mosque. Of these, three domes are bigger. The mosque is built on 4 pillars. Different sizes and different types of bricks have been used in the construction of mosque walls. Once the floor of the mosque was white stone. It's not there anymore. According to the history, this mosque was constructed in 1543-1544 by the descendants of Fateh Shah Mamud, one of the Aulias who came under the leadership of Hazrat Shahjalal Awali. The mosque was also known as Sikder Bari Mosque, because the descendants of Fateh Shah Mamud were receiving Sikder's title. A dighi named Chui Chamati Dighi is very close to the mosque. This Shankar Pasha Mosque is located at Uchail in Shankar Pasha village of Rajiyara union under Madhabpur upazila of Habiganj district. The Shankar Pasha Mosque is particularly notable among the mosques of the Sultanate which still exist in this country. The original room of the mosque is built in square. There is a verandah in the east. There are 3 entrances to the verandah. To enter the main hall, there are three more entrances on the eastern wall of the main cell. The main cell has two entrances on the south and north sides. There are two more entrances on the verandah in the south and north. There was a dome on the main chamber of the mosque. Inside the western wall there are 3 lovely mihrabs. The walls and mihrabs of the mosque are of terracotta art. Adina Mosque / Satgachia Mosque with 35 domes

The old mosque was found in Satgachia of Kaliganj upazila of Jhenaidah district. It is a magnificent building with 35 dome. The building is made of rectangles. It is about 77 feet in length and about 56 feet in width. It is situated near the Adina water body of Barobazar. Because of this, the mosque is also known as Adina Mosque. According to the construction technique of the mosque, there were 7 entrances on the east wall, 5 entrances in the south and 3 entrances in the north. Many pillars have been found inside the mosque. These pillars are built by bricks. The religious building had 4 monuments in its 4 corners. In the Sultanate period in the fifteenth century, this building was estimated to be built. The mosque is no longer the same as before. With tin roof it is still being used for religious purposes. ...... read full story
